Kevin came down to Paradise Village in Puerto Vallarta in August to move Island Summers to La Cruz (5 nm) to have her hauled out of the water for new bottom paint. We have now returned to the marina to get ready for sailing. We will be at the dock for at least another week while we provision and put up her sails. Part of getting the boat ready is putting everything back together that we took apart when we left her for hurricane season. In the meantime, we work on her in the cooler mornings until the hot afternoon. Then we stop work for the day and enjoy the resort while eating tacos and sipping pina coladas and margaritas by the pool. We are planning to stay around for Halloween to celebrate the “Day of the Dead” in Puerto Vallarta. We’ve heard its pretty spectacular.
